Make your own soda -- legal vanilla extract and sparkling water yields quite a nice cream soda. Ginger tea diluted with sparkling water makes ginger ale. Bit of prune nectar and sparkling water might give you something akin to Dr. Pepper. Cherry nectar and sparkling water could be similar to Mr. Pibb. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
What helped me helped me with the soda cravings was having pure concord grape juice with seltzer water. It was really surprisingly effective even if it wasn't a grape soda I was craving. I think the fizziness just kind of tricks my brain into thinking I've had a soda and the craving goes away stacey > > I am having a problem kicking the Diet Dr. Pepper habit. Is it really bad to have one a day? Do others drink diet soda? I know the book says one a week is allowed. Comments, thoughts? > > This group is great and I love the diet...just can't kick this soda habit...have cut down to one a day but probably need to eliminate altogher...sigh. > > >
Guest guest
I went the route of diluted legal juices and seltzer water, too. After awhile I found I didn't need the juice so now if I yearn for fizzy, I just have a seltzer.
