Guest guest
I see where you are coming from and as I mentioned in the post I used just ginger and fennel for my daughter's treatment. I listed the other spices as possible alternatives if their situation is different than what my daughter has encountered. That is why I posted the peer-reviewed material from Healthnotes. The other important thing to keep in mind is that these spices were taken in conjunction with a diet that is high in good fats and protein. This can not be a singular approach of just taking the spices. Carbohydrates, both simple and complex, are very restricted which helps assist the body reduce reflux. Both acid reflux and heartburn can be eliminated by this carbohydrate restriction as well as duodenal ulcers which are frequently caused by H pylori. To gain a better understanding as to the specific approach my daughter has taken I would recommend that you read a book my doctor had me read, Life Without Bread by Christian Allan, PhD and Wolfgang Lutz, MD. An excellent book that talks about failure to thrive children doing exceptionally well on a carbohydrate restricted diet.
