Guest guest
What about getting the RNY and if/when the side-effects get too much and really cause quality of life issues, go back to the insurance company with this and then ask for a revision (is that what it is?) to a DS? Medically, can it be done?>>>>> Once you have the RNY you have totally butchered your stomach and that part will never be normal. The only thing is they can fix the bowel part if there is a problem. I was thinking today about this very thing and came to the decision if I had no choice would I take the RNY? Probably not due to the fact that once they remove the pyloric valve you are more likely to get cancer of the pancreas. Its not something I would want to deal with now that Im watching my aunt die from this horrible disease! Judie
Guest guest
I was just sitting here, hoping hoping hoping that I end up with a DS but realizing it just many not happen due to my HMO when I had a thought... This would be only if every appeal is exhausted... What about getting the RNY and if/when the side-effects get too much and really cause quality of life issues, go back to the insurance company with this and then ask for a revision (is that what it is?) to a DS? Medically, can it be done? Also, I was wondering if we are now allowed to sue HMOs for negligence? I know it was in the papers for awhile but I haven't heard anything in a long time.
