Guest guest
I believe this was meant for the duodenalswitch list, so I'm forwarding it. (I don't think it is meant as an ad for Herbalife, btw -- unless this poster is particularly wiley! I think it was just about the claim that the intestinal villi deteriorate with age.) Does anyone know about villi?. ********************************Hi my sister sends me Diet digest info she sent this to me and I wonder if anyone ever heard about villi's? my sister is a cancer survivor and depends on many soy products to get proper protein and calcium, plus liquid vitamins. She will go with me to see Dr Hess on Nov 1... Getting excited " first consult " Polly Why is it harder to lose weight as you get older? There are people that work out everyday for an hour, eat low-fat & still can't shed those extra pounds. As they get older they notice their cravings for fats & sweets increase. Especially the elderly who always seem to have a " dish of candy " available. We have more physical problems, illnesses and are tired all the time. The Herbalife Cellular Nutrition Program (Formulas 1, 2, 3) will help address these problems. In your small intestine there are finger-like protrusions called " villi " . The villi are responsible for the absorption of your nutrients from food & vitamins and the distribution throughout your body. Things that damage villi through the years are stress, alcohol, smoking, medications, preservatives, salt and fats. The villi break off, can't absorb nutrients and makes your body think it is starving. This is when you start craving sugars and fatty foods because they are easiest for your body to absorb. What Cellular Nutrition does is feed the body on a cellular level so your body can repair and rebuild the villi to a healthy younger state. Therefore, your body is readily available to absorb all the nutrients that you take in from eating and taking your nutritional supplements. In addition to feeding your body at the cellular level you must work your metabolism for maximum results. You need to work on your Active, Digestive, and Resting metabolisms to create the momentum necessary to burn away fat as quickly as possible. More will be discussed on those topics in latter issues. If you wish to receive some additional information about Cellular Nutrition, please fill out the short profile at www.dietingtips.com <http://www.dietingtips.com/index.cgi?1000> and one of our experienced counselors will be happy to contact you and discuss your concerns. ************************************************************************ ********************************************
