Re: Carseats

Unfortunatly, due to all the laws and the way the seats are made, I

don't think there is any way around it. My oldest son, non RSS

didn't reach 20 lbs until he was 18 mos and we finally turned it

around then. It's a pain and the poor kids have nothing to look at

but the seat back. I wish the laws and manufacterers would realize

that there are kids out there besides the 'average' and it is not

fair to them. The forward facing car seats all have to use the top

harness strap when turned forward (except boosters but those straps

are pretty high and it's usually 22 lbs and up) and my daughter

Autumn (RSS 12 mos) would be lost in it height wise also.

Hi ,

Welcome to the Group. You'll probably have to go with height on

when to change to a forward facing car seat. My daughter is 5 years

old and she's still not 20lbs quite yet. We were able to take her

out of the infant seat when she was 3 years old and too tall for the

infant seat.

Hope this helps some!
