DS date at last!

I, too want to thank Dawna-- she was the first DS-er I contacted--

and I think it may have been on the OSSG list, way back in March.

I got my date with Dr Anthone: on October 24, 2001 I will join the

growing ranks of the switched. I am still waiting for this to sink

in-- I have spent so much time trying not to think about how long the

recovery from the panniculectomy was taking, what with the open

incision and all ( still about 20 inches of 1/4 to 1/8th inch deep in

two patches) and not thinking about just WHEN I would get a date that

I am still numb.

For those who are tracking such things, I have Blue Cross Prudent

Buyer and I am approved with no trouble-- none, nada, zip. In fact

the case manager called me to tell me about the date, and I had to

contact the Dr.'s office to confirm! and there is at least one other

patient of Dr. Anthone with Blue Cross Prudent Buyer whose first

contact with Dr. A was After June 1, and she, too was approved and

switched without a hitch! She is now about 3 weeks out and doing

well.

Good Luck to all us October Switchers! and may the rest of you either

continue to loose or get dates and approvals soon!
