john, i am sorry to hear of your surgeon situation. but more than

likely all will be well. oakley is an ASBS member, and dr. hess's

office partner. they have the same office phone number. if dr. hess

didn't have complete confidence in oakley, would he be in practice

with him? i sincerely doubt it. and i agree that you should have

been notified and given a choice about who cuts on you! i just

wonder if it is standard office procedure to consider the

surgeons " interchangeable " ? that should definitely be addressed as

an important issue with the doctors' office staff.

anyway, good luck with your surgery, whoever gets to do it. i hope

it all works out for you.
