Hi Barbi,

I had medicare which paid for the surgery and I know of others who had the

DS with medicaid and they also paid for the surgery. Your friend might have

a little battle on her hands as she only has to prove that there are no

surgeons in her state doing them in order to go out of state to get it done

and paid for including transportation and motels etc! I can put your friend

in touch with a friend of mine who had hers paid for by Washington state

medicaid and she can coach her on what to do!!

Medicare is for those who are retired or on disability whereas medicaid is

state.

think " care " is what retired people get, " aid " is for those who

qualify for disability, aid to dependant children, etc. >>>

Right Barbi except you can also qualify for medicare with disability if you

have worked and paid into the system for X number of years.

They don't...thats why so many starve and barely eat or keep the heat turned

off. They have to choose between food and heat and their meds. I think its

horrible how we treat the elderly. Its not like us younger folks that can

go out and work a second job or do something to bring in more money. Many

are to old and unable to work anymore. Its really sick that they arent taken

care of...espeically if they worked all their lives and have just had no

breaks and been sick alot since aging.
