We are reimplementing the GFCF diet again. This was our 5th

infringement test over the course of the 18 months we have been GFCF

(Strict 9, then infringement-1, Then on 3 months, then off...so on) This

was our longest time off. Shane was off diet for 6 weeks, and slowly

spiraling downhill. We started enzymes 3 weeks ago, but it did not solve

his problem. (We are and will still use Peptyzyde & HN-ZymePrime)

Yesterday after 2 slices of pizza, he had a fit like he hasn't had

since the last infringement. Uncontrollable, screaming & crying like a

mad man...Today, 24 hours later, he has calmed down significantly (back

on GFCF that is) This diet is a neccesity, and I believe we will not

stray again until there is a digestive cure..:) Thought I would share

again-Shari- Shane-7 (from autistic to Development delayed)

Are you saying Shane was regressing when you started the enzymes, and

he continued to regress? Did you notice ANY difference at all with

the enzymes (even if it make the situation worse? One more question,

is there any possibility of celiac?

Thank you.

You can't " develop " it...it is genetic. However, it can be " dormant " or

maybe just not noticeable. It can be triggered by something, usually an

immune system challenge. For me, it was a severe respiratory infection when

I was 32.

Two things to remember...Newest research shows that celiac is TWICE as

common as Crohn's disease, ulceric colitis and cystic fibrosis COMBINED.

Something like 2 out of 3 people who have celiac are asymptomatic...they

have no idea they have any problem.
