Guest guest
Debbie,According to the GAPS book (Gut and Psychology Syndrome), you should, last thing before going to bed, after brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth, open an acidophilus capsule and empty it onto your tongue and sort of hold it there letting it melt so to speak. My close friend tried this and it got rid of her thrush, but I suppose if there is a major yeast issue throughout the body, it might return easily.AmeliaFrom: Debbie To: btvc-scd <BTVC-SCD >Sent: Fri, May 7, 2010 9:25:19 PMSubject: OT Oral Thrush I finally got a prescription for diflucan yesterday--10 days. I've been using garlic, coconut and candidase but not getting really great results. So the day after I start it, my tongue has broken out into painful bumps. I did a google and on the Mayo Clinic site, it says unsweetened yogurt can help re-balance the flora but does nothing to heal the thrush. Anyone know if it helps get rid of it? Also, it says if you have trouble swallowing, it can go to your esophagus, stomach and to your intestines, etc. Further down, it says it's the same type of yeast as vaginal. Besides going to the green anti-yeast version of SCD, does it do any good to walk around with a spoonful of yogurt in my mouth? ;-) And any other info welcome. I feel hot and miserable--again.
