Hi

My daughter Bobbi used to go a full 13 hours a day with no sleep when she was

younger, she is now 13.5 months and more active (sitting up, playing etc.) but

she still only has between half an hour to an hour in the day and 90% of the

time I have to take her for a walk in her pushchair to get her to sleep, she

very rarely falls to sleep in the house, I know they are less likely to be

interested in eating when they are tired, but Bobbi won't eat at the best of

times, like I said before Stirling seems to eat/drink more than her and he is

quite abit younger!

Won't sleep, too tired for full dinner.

Stirling has had all of 20 mins sleep ALL DAY, He is 6 1/2 mths old.

As a result he is now too tired to eat much of his solid food. He has

had most of a dish of Apricot Custard, but isn't really interested as

he is so tired.

I'm a bit concerned as he often goes most of a day without having much

of a nap, and therefore doesn't want to feed. He has been taking his

bottles of Hi-Energy milk fine tho.

He has been playing happily for long periods, then gets incredibly

grumpy because he is so tired and still fights having a nap.

Is this common in RSS children/babies? It's often a struggle to get

food into him anyway- can take an hr or more.

Just after some advice on what to do with him.

Oh boy do I hear you! Emerence was NOT a sleeper or napper really

and still isn't though if I can get her down at 9pm she usually goes

until 5ish now (she is 26 mo). But that is with one short nap a day

now, if at all. As a baby she took 20 minutes naps once or twice a

day and I had to use the dishwasher or vacuum. I actually SAW a CD

ROM of these sounds somewhere for fussy babies (of course after she

was 18 mo old!) but cannot remember where....good luck, I know it is

sooooooo hard you love them so much but just want 30 minutes to

yourself to shower!

, mom to Emerence 2 and 5

When was younger (he's 14mos), he didn't sleep during the day much either.

He slept 20 mins about twice a day and boy did we have everyone in the house

literally whispering while he slept, cause i needed time to do things around the

house, shower etc..But now he sleeps for 1-2hrs, this started about less than

two months ago. Thank goodness! Anyway he doesn't eat much either, I have to

chase him around the living room at times to feed him 2 bites, I had to

experiment with different foods, shakes (hi calorie), and different flavors of

yogurt etc..Anyway hope this was some what helpful.
