Wow you did not stay very long in NY. Glad to here everything is good. Can't

wait to meet . And very anxious to see Dr.H.

Forgot to post - 's Dr. H visit

We left Los Angeles at 1:30pm on Wednesday; arrived at 10pm New York

City; by 11pm we're at the hotel and in bed asleep by midnight.

Wake up by 9am, appt at 11am. Walk over there on time, and since

Dr. H doesn't normally see patients that day (she had to cancel an

earlier appt for us) she saw us by 11:30am! SHOCK! The appt still

lasted 1 1/2 hours (even after 4 1/2 years....) but we were done by

1pm or so. We got a picnic in Central Park, then took the subway to

Toys R Us at Times Square. Long rush hour cab to the airport, on

the plane by 6pm, sat on the runway for 90 minutes; then a 6 hour

flight home, and back to our house by 10:30pm Thursday. We will

NEVER do that again....

's growth velocity has definitely flattened out after 4 1/2

years on GH -- she is traveling along her own curves at about the

65th percentile in height and 25th in weight. She actually thought

's weight for height was at her best ever, so that made me

happy.

Blood tests show that is in complete adrenarche, although no

body odor or pubic hair, she does have oily hair and some forehead

pimples. The blood test is called the DHEA. Her levels for years

were between 60-70; last year were 170 or so, and this year is 320.

Furthermore, in the last 1.65 years of chronological age, 's

bone age has advanced 2.77 years!!! She has lost all her delay in

bone age and her bone age is now 6 months PAST her chronological age.

As I have written before, Steve and I spent 2 months researching

aromatase inhibitors, as Dr. H wanted her to start on Arimidex. We

are starting Arimidex to halt the production of estrogen. Crossing

our fingers that it will slow the bone age down; otherwise,

is on track to lose most if not all of the height gain she has made

on growth hormone.

Other than that, is doing well, as is Dr. Harbison. That's

it for now. I can't wait for all of you to see at the

convention. She truly has grown up. She gets herself up every

morning (before me) with an alarm clock, she gets dressed, and comes

downstairs and I find her making her oatmeal in the microwave.

One note, for those of you using Periactin. For the last month,

has been SOO emotional. We chalked it up to the

adrenarche. However, we suddenly realized that we also made a huge

jump in her morning Periactin.... and we remembered how she used to

get tantrums when we did that when she was 5. So we dropped the

Periactin morning dose back down, and the tantrums have gone mostly

away....
