Hello Loophole,I really don't know and I didn't have time to pursue it at the time. My son also has thyroid issues and we were focused on that. But I do intend to question further the next time we see him. I would like to know.As far as I can tell, they're all "practicing" or we'd all be healed. :) Sent via BlackBerry by AT&TDate: Sat, 01 May 2010 02:58:28 -0000To: <BTVC-SCD >Subject: Re: Allergy shots my boss is an ND & he does allergy drops under the tongue..he first does scratch testing & then the drops --which are called " immunotherapy " honestly I can't see any difference ( In fact when I order them they ask me if their for sublingual or for shots) So I don't see how the shots would hurt the immune system?? in fact untreated allergies can cause a mess in the immune system (exhaust it!) so if they work, why not? > That summer he saw an allergist and determined which things were causing the trouble--grass, weeds, dogs, cats and one dust mite. The main allergen is grass. > > After suffering through the 2nd spring/summer he started getting the shots in the fall. The next spring (3rd) he was shockingly better. I couldn't believe it.

Hello Loopylafae,My apologies, I think my spellchecker changed your name on the previous email! Keep in mind that at least as far as some in the medical field are

concerned, they want a treatment, not a cure. A treatment yields

continued income. A cure means you won't need them any more.

There are some genuinely caring medical types out there, but frankly, my

vote is for an old Chinese system: patients paid the doctor only so long

as they were well!
