Guest guest
My suggestion is to read " Biological Treatments for Autism and PDD " by Shaw Ph.D. this book explains in easy to read format all about the GFCF diet and the role of yeast in autism. As for calcium it is easy enough to supplement. A good source for supplements is Kirkmanlabs.com. Hope this helps. Sharon C.

What are your thoughts on it and what have you learned from it? I have seen tons of books out there in the book world about autism and I don't have alot of time to read or alot of money to spend on crappy books so I would like an opinion...thanks for any information! Take care, Sue..

Guest guest
Rice twice is a great cereal my son loves it it's like rice crispies and puffed rice put together and it's coated with a little honey so it tastes a little sweet. Their are alot of other cereal options if your child can have sugar or corn as far as cereal. Envirokids cereal is in my reg. groc. store goumet dept. or you can find these at the HFS or miss Robens cataloge. Sharon C.

Guest guest
just a suggestion for those looking to get testing done but ped.is not giving help...call your ped. tell them your doing the diet and ask them to refer you to a nutritionist...and hopefully there is a good nutritionist in the area who can help you..a nutritionist can order all the same tests as a dr.i tested for yeast and metals through mine and so far ins. is reimbursing us. if the nutritionist isn't sure where to get the testing done let them know about great plains lab and drs. data these labs are set up mostly for doing testing for AS and PDD children. Guest guest
Hi, Has anyone else tried the recipe for Millet bread from the newdiets.com website? I am wondering if there is a mistake in the amount of xanthum gum called for in the recipe. It calls for 1-1/2 tbs. This seems like too much. I have never made a bread that called for more than 2 teaspoons xanthum gum. I tried it and I had to add tons of water to the batter. The bread came out edible but very thick and heavy. If anyone knows the answer before I start experimenting with it, that would be great. I just don't want to waste the ingredients! Thanks so much, BTW, I am very grateful for this recipe since we needed a bread with a different flour. Thanks to whomever posted the website. Charlene Mom to ie, GFCF, also allergic to rice and potato {{{argghhhh}}
