Guest guest
Well, I've been trying to post what I'm eating but I'm having trouble getting the message to go through... anyway, I'm eating yogurt with honey, frozen cherries, a little lean beef, cheddar cheese, eggs, a little butter. High fat seems to work well for me. The D had slowed down a little and the burning in my stomach is subsiding. I usually feel better in the evenings. I'm planning to go to work tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback. Gwen SCD since 4/21/10 > > I have been on SCD since 4/21/10. Guest guest
Did you try activated charcoal and epsom baths? Guest guest
Hi Mara. I haven't tried activated charcoal because I was on the road to feeling pretty darn good before I ate the chicken and didn't feel like I needed it. I don't have access to a tub (we are full time RVers) so I did the epsom salt / lotion mixture, which was super helpful with alleviating my die-off symptoms. I live in a very very remote area, so walking into a store and buying activated charcoal or any other semi-unusual item isn't a possibility. I get many things shipped to me, but for now, I'm not ordering it unless this continues... Right now, my head is clear and other than some come-and-go stomach pain and D, I feel good. Hope abounds. Last night, no stomach pain at all, but still lingering D. This morning, I have stomach pain and I was once again late for work because I was stuck in the loo, but I was also stressed out over something, so I'm sure it was partially because of that. I feel like I'm on the mend and I will take this as a valuable lesson learned: I now have no temptation to fudge on SCD. Illegal foods are my enemy! Thanks so much for the help and feedback. Guest guest
Gwen, it is a good thing to keep on hand in case of flares or other situations where you eat something by mistake that you thought was safe. Or something too advanced, or that doesn't agree with you that day or in combo with something else. We've all been there, done that. Though I'm sure space is tight in the RV. Maybe keep it at school in your desk - if you have a homeroom that is permanent? Along with some pepto bismal. Just in case. Mara > Hi Mara.
