Guest guest
Cara, Thanks so much for your e-mail and support. I am trying to catch up a bit. I also wanted to let you know that we saw Dr. H a few weeks ago and as some of you know, there was a possibility that Dr. H was going to recommend a tube. Well, the great news is that Jonah gained over 2 pounds since our last visit and grew well to. All this with a stomach virus and cold in between. Dr. H. was thrilled and therefore no feeding tube! If he continues like this and does not spill ketones, he will not need one. We are so happy and must live one day at a time and pray that he keeps up the great work. She increased his Periactin again and the increased Miralax has made all the difference for him too. She asked that I tell all parents how bad it is for the kids to be constipated, how the Miralax helped and the difference it can make in terms of weight gain. > > I am thinking of you all and look forward to seeing many of you in Chicago! > > , Jonah's mom > > >
Guest guest
Dayna, Thanks for your e-mail. My husband and I always say " oh what a poop will do! Guest guest
Lacy, I think that five weeks is too soon to be eating dried fruit. Am I right on that carol, Mimi, Patty, Sheila, any other veterans? Also, you say you're eating nut butter and nuts. Do you mean whole nuts, chopped nuts, or what exactly? It's also too soon to be eating nuts unless it is nut flour or nut butter. Are you eating a good amount of cooked and pealed vegies and fruits? Meleah scd 05/06 iel 3yrs., asd Ethan 5yrs., Mark 1yr. Guest guest
Meleah, You are correct. Dried fruit is very concentrated in sugar and also fiber and will cause set backs. Be very careful with it. I still cannot have dried fruit in high quantities after 6 years. Charlene Lacy, I think that five weeks is too soon to be eating dried fruit.
