Thanks to you all for your words of encouragement over the past couple

of weeks. saw his GI doctor last week and I told him I felt

needed a tube. After reviewing his growth charts, considering

his illnesses (he gets lots of ear infections), etc., he agreed, but

said ultimately it was OUR decision. We met with the pediatric surgeon

yesterday and she explained the procedure to us. For us too this has

been a difficult and agonizing decision, but we know it will be best

for - and we're convinced the pros outweigh the cons.

It was extremely helpful reviewing previous posts (special thanks to

Kearns and her " ABC's of G-tubes " questions and your responses)

and the insight you provide from your experiences is invaluable. I

have a tremendous amount of anxiety...which will hopefully be

alleviated soon enough. I am just praying that God give us peace and

wisdom, and allow this transition to go smoothly.

Well, I just wanted to share.

Thanks again - I don't know what I'd do without this board (which is

essentially all of you), it's such a resource and outlet!
