I do tell them about my eating habits that have changed. I tell them that I eat B_L and D everyday. I eat mostly protein. Not too many carbs. I also tell them about exercise. Other than that it isn't necessary for them to know my personal information. I love the complements and I accept them guilt free. Be happy that they notice and don't feel guilty.
