Guest guest
Hey guys, My son Seth is nearly 6 months in just one week. We started the helmet process with the ortho at 4months. He started with his helmet three weeks ago. It started to leave horrible indentions/ridges in his front part of his skull and would not close properly. I emailed pics to the ortho and wanted to see him ASAP, which we did. It is very difficult b/c it is in another town. I reviewed the results and it seems that my child is worsening vs getting better. He concluded that it was originally fabricated too small so he sent off for a new one. Has anyone ever experienced this- advice please. Thanks, Mother from TX

Guest guest
Hi , it is possible the helmet could be too small if he had a big growth spurt between scanning and getting the band. However that should have been noticed at the initial fitting. Also I'm not sure if you had follow up visits, but after the fitting you would normally go for a check after a week or two. How often do you see the ortho? What kind of band do you have? I guess if this is happening so soon I am a little worried about your ortho and if he is experienced enough. You might want to get some opinions if others on the board have gone there. -christine sydney 2.5 yrs starband grad > > > Hey guys, > > My son Seth is nearly 6 months in just one week.
