I am glad he is doing better. Keep up the good work. Being a mom is the hardest

JOB any person can take on.

Re: Anyone heard from ? -Jodi/all

Hi Jodi and friends,

finally got out of the hospital late Tuesday. He has pretty

much been in the hospital since 4/15. He had that paralytic ileus that

stopped his intestines from working, then while in the hospital he got

that rotavirus bug. That was awful!! He had a high fever, vomiting

and diarrhea for days! He lost so much weight and they had to give

him an IV over and over since his veins kept giving out/going bad. I

was worried sick myself there for a while...he seemed to be fading

fast and I thought he might never be able to recuperate, BUT, as we

know our kids are fighters and have such an instinct to survive...plus

wiht the help of lots and lots of prayers he finally came around and

we were able to come home. He is still pretty weak and thinner than I

have ever seen him before, but thank God he got his tube in (that was

leaking too while we were in the hospital) so we can try to fatten him

up!

Jodi, I'll e-mail you seperately...thank you all so much for your

thoughts/prayers and support.

Glad to be home, and hopefully it'll stay that way for a while,

p.s. sorry I wasn't in touch more...I spent every night at the

hospital so I didn't have much contact with the outside world and I

was exhausted! :-(

Mom to (5 1/2 non-RSS) and (22 months, RSS, etc.)

,

Man, I am glad to hear that is out of the hospital. I was

worried there for a while. I can't believe all he has been through.

He is probably so tired and worn out and tired of being poked. You

are right, though. Our kids really do have some underlying strength

that we probably will never understand, but they do have such a

strong will to survive. I know there are many of us on here that can

atest to that....right guys!? :o) I pray that recvovers and

is back to his old self again soon and taht you adn are getting

some sleep. You'll have to email me and let me know how the g tube

is working for you guys.

Take care and continue to be the great mommy I know you are! :o)

Hugs,

Jodi
