Guest guest
Where are you in dear old MA? Mara, former inhabitant. Yeah, I just ordered 4 cartons from the site. I'm going to start getting my eggs there until I find a place locally that has the real deal organic eggs. Anyone know of a place in Massachusetts? Should I look into local farmers?_____

Thanks for this, Marilyn. Well, you can order either four or eight dozen at a time. Our household goes through about two dozen a week, especially if I am making souffle bread, so it would make sense to get a month's supply at a time. The problem is where to keep them... I'm good with coconut, and am seriously thinking about these eggs because we eat so many and because of a soy sensitivity. It seemed like something worthwhile, especially since coconut is so much better than soy, IMO. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
Here's an intersting article on soy: http://www.healthmasters.com/blog/does-soy-turn-little-boys-little-girls-shocking-truthFrom: Terry Rumas To: BTVC-SCD <BTVC-SCD >Sent: Mon, April 19, 2010 1:32:32 AMSubject: Re: Speaking of Eggs.... Marilyn, These eggs are definitely a good idea. I will be buying them in the future. I don't know if it was on this forum ( I thought you had sent the article) that I read about how soy is not the wonderful wonderbean that everyone says. In addition to having hormonal properties, it does not protect against heart disease as it was once thought. It said that Asians typically eat fermented soy ( miso, tempeh) and not the quantities of soy protein that we do and that is why it does not affect them the way it has us. I read a very good article on this and thought I had saved it and somehow thought I got it from you. I'll try to find it. Terry
