I would like to start ldn for my

mum could our family GP perscribe it or if not where could we obtain it

from and how much dose should be enough if somebody can point us in the

right direction we would be thankfull. we live in calgary canada

LDN can be ordered from Skip's Pharmacy -- it has to be

compounded.

My understanding is that the recommended prescription is:

1.5 mg po X 30

days,

(po= by mouth)

3.0 mg po X 30 days ,

then 4.5 po thereafter with PRN in the refill space.

The shipping is approx $5 no matter how many month supply you get. 3

months of 4.5mg w/ shipping runs around $60.

I wonder if it can do something to your liver enzymes? After almost 3 months of

LDN, my liver enzymes are sky high. I had to have an abdominal ultrasound, and

my doc has ordered about every liver related blood test known to man.

Thanks Sky! My bundle of blood tests that are ordered should rule in/out a lot

of those conditions. My GI even ordered the celiac panel again, even though I

told her I haven't eaten gluten in more then a year. I still haven't got any

docs to finish the thyroid panel though. I've got two more shots, Tuesday and

then the following Monday. If I can't get either of those docs to do it, I guess

I'll have to pay out of pocket.

Oh, and I got my saliva test in the mail. I had planned to do it today, but

since I haven't been well the past couple days, I thought I better hold off

until later in the week.

too, and worry they may have mucked up my liver.

You're welcome.

I had the rash for quite a few weeks before somebody told me to try the

coconut oil. Then, though it did feel somewhat better almost immediately,

it took a good week or 10 days to be totally gone and totally itch-free

and dry-skin-free.

I know what you mean about feeling conspicuous with such a thing!

n

P.S. I won't be reading/writing much email in the next while, including

this list, sad to say.

Tomorrow I'm starting a full-time job (though only for a couple of months)

as a Census supervisor. I haven't been able to work full time in 10 years,

so I'm a little apprehensive about this. But am feeling so much better in

the last year most of the time on SCD and LDN. We'll see how it goes. I

wouldn't have considered it if it were a permanent full-time job, but

seeing as it's projected to be a few months, that's perfect to allow me to

see how much I can handel.

Hi

What a waste of time that celiac panel will be it is just going to be negative. Good idea holding off the saliva test until you are well. It is pathetic these days that we have do our own tests to learn something.
