Guest guest
Sunny, Sorry to read about your latest medical problems. About the medications you mentioned...lorazapam is generic Atavan...a anti-anxiety medication and the nuerotin is for nerve pain. I don't think they are the cause of the bruising I have had the easy bruising and "blood blisters:" from the prednisone. I just spent 4 days in the hospital because I was having seizures then I had a stroke (TIA) in the hospital. I lost the use of my left side but it is coming back except for weakness in my left leg. They said my seizures are either stress seizures or a Lupus flare. They wouldn't pin it down further than that and saying it is not epilepsy. Anyway they put me on several seizure meds. Now I have discoloration on both arms. It looks like a bad sunburn that's partially healed. Also if I bump into the wall with my arm it raises a large welt that looks like a blood blister. I can't play with my little dog anymore because even the littlest nip rips my skin open and it bleeds forever. I am on Lorazepam and neurontin. the first I take once a day and the second I take morning and night. Can anyone tell me if this is related to PF or a side effect of the new meds. I would appreciate it. Guest guest
Sunny... I've been off the board for a few weeks and now find this post from you. You do get your share of problems! I'm so sorry. It's just always something for us isn't it. Hugs MamaSher; 71, IPF 3-2006, OR.Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Re: thin skin Hi Sunny, Wow you have been through the mill and back again. I am so sorry. When I was on prednisone my skin was like tissue paper. I bled with every bump. my skin would peel back. I used sugar on the open places and they healed without much scaring. I would think your meds are causing this to happen. Call your Dr and ask. That is what they are for and you could google your meds and read about them. I'll be praying for you. Take it one day at a time. We are here for you.
