Guest guest
Many neurosurgeons are not concerned about head shape - they only want to make sure the brain is growing. I suspect this will change as more data is available on the implications of plagio/brachy, but for now that is the way it is. We went to a cranio facial plastic surgeon, they tend to be more pro-banding. If you're not happy with the shape banding is great. I'm glad he/she was willing to writne the rx. -christine sydney, 3.5 yrs, starband grad > > My neurosurgeon looked at my son's head and then measured the circumference, but did not take any other measures. I volunteered the measurements that the orthotics place gave me, but I thought he would have been more thorough. He then went onto say that they seemed on the mild side and if they (my son and daughter twins) were his children he would not put them in helmets, but then he gave me a prescription, since I wanted them in helmets. > > Any thoughts? > > Thanks > > We >
