Healthnet Denial and next steps

Hi all,

First, reading the posts makes us feel better that we are not alone

with our frustration.

Here's some background. We were denied by Healthnet CA for a neuro

referral from our ped. was six weeks premature and had a flat

head from the NICU. We tried repositioning from two months old, he's

almost six months now but no improvement. He was never referred to PT

and we never asked because we didn't know to. We want to appeal the

denial but are curious if we need to get a PT referral or see an

orthotist first. We are concerned that the process may take too long

before we get approved or even if we get approved for a helmet.

We are prepared to pay out of pocket at the local CT but would

appreciate any advice or suggestions that may help us win any appeal

with Healthnet. Thanks for listening
