Pam,

I had a similar experience a few years ago. I had lost some weight and I wanted

to get some exercise pants. They are made very tight so they look pretty small

on the rack. I tried on a pair and they fit, but I didn't like them. When I

came out of the dressing room and put them on the reject rack, the woman working

there said, " you are way to big for those, why would you even try them on? " I

was fuming and I wanted to punch her. She was much bigger than me and you would

think someone of that size would know better. I ended saying that the pants fit

fine and I just didn't like them. I left the store and never went back.

I would have complained to management on my way out. I love the prices at

Walmart but I'm starting to shop elsewhere just because they have no one

working when you need something and those people are so busy screwing around

with each other that they don't help you when they are right in front of you.

I went to Walmart to buy a TV, a big one...well i never got anyone to come

carry it out, so on my way out I went to the manager and said...I just wanted

to let you know that my 450 bucks is walking out the store to another due to

no customer service after being paged 3 times. I'll be taking the money

elsewhere and happily pay more if necessary for some actual service! She was

not to happy and tried to fix things...but its wasnt the first time and I've

just had it with that place.

Congratulations on making it into the " regular shopper " range! Now...if you

could just get rid of the other shoppers ;)

Sorry for the rude person... And what a lucky girl to have that sweet

husband!

Another reason I DESPISE shopping at Wal-Marts in the MD/VA/DC area. I

don't know where they get their staff, but it seems that they'll just take

anyone that can breath and stand still.

Don't you just hate rude people?

Hi Gang,

Just wanted to share my unpleasant experience at WalMart yesterday. I

decided to take the plunge and pick out some smaller pants, since everything

is hanging on me now. So, I decided to venture in to the REGULAR section of

the store, instead of the plus sizes. Well, I found this rack of

cotton/knit

pants, that were sort of like leggings, but not so " hugging " to the skin.

Anyway, I picked off two pairs of size large, looked at them, and pondered

whether or not they would fit. Well, my husband pointed out that he thought

they would fit so I should go for it. So, I went in to the dressing room

(that in itself causes me more anguish than just about anything!!) and I

tried on the first pair of pants. Well, they fit a little snugly, but not

like they were cutting off my breathing or anything. I figured that in less

than a month, they would fit perfectly. So, I stepped outside my dressing

room door to show my husband. Well, he had taken the kids and moved out of

my eyesight, so I was standing there looking for him. All of a sudden, the

lady who was working as the attendant in the dressing rooms (who, by the

way,

would have been an EXCELLENT candidate for the DS herself) says to me, " Wow.

Those sure are tight across the butt, hon. You better get the next size

up. "

I about died. I stood there, my mouth gaping open, totally taken aback by

this comment. I was actually feeling a little shred of confidence after I

tried those pants on, and then BAM!!! Shot down again!! Well, then my

husband came around the corner, saw my face, and asked what was wrong. I

said nothing, and was about to turn around (like a scorned child!! LOL!) and

go back and change and just put the darn things back on the rack. Then my

dear hubby said to me, " Hey, they look GREAT Hon. " Even though I knew he

was

" stretching the truth alittle, " it made me feel so much better. So, I

gathered up what little dignity I had left, and I said (quite loudly to be

sure SHE would hear me), " yes, I think I'll take this pair, and let's go

back

and get another pair in BLUE! "

So, there. I have vented. Thank you all for listening. I honestly don't

understand what possesses people sometimes. Here I am, striving to get

under

200 lbs., with just three pounds to go to do it, and this lady rains on my

parade!!! Oh well, thank God I have this group of warm and understanding

people who are on my side!!

Hugs to all,

I've been shopping in WalMarts in Florida and California and have

always encountered the rudest sales staff - which is why i've

only been in there about 3 times ever.

I used to post to a coupon-trading list and they all had the

same thing to say about WalMarts all over the country - I've

never heard a good word about their salespeople - i haven't been

in one in about 5-1/2 years for that reason.

It's funny how their ads always show such friendly people - I

guess they're big on irony.
