Guest guest
hey jennifer!! nicholas does this alot!! and now johnathon has started as well. i think it is more of a sensory issue. nicholas seams to have a very sensative gag reflex, you should see what we go through at a dentist visit with him!!! and any little smell will send him gagging and sometimes throwing up. christopher has done it on occasion, but my 2 nonrss kids seam to be worse!!! jodie c > > Hi everyone, > > In preparation of my first visit with Dr. H, I am making my list of > questions to ask her or things to mention and I wanted to run this > pass all of you since I don't have any experience with reflux. > > Sometimes will get a whiff of food cooking and she will start > to gag. Guest guest
, Since I'm a little late in joining this thread I'll take a different approach. Gagging is definitely a signature sign of reflux and delayed gastric emptying, both issues we've had to deal with and common with our children. We changed our son's formula to peptamin jr. and added a laxative and saw a quick and dramatic drop in the incidence of gagging. After a couple months he was still gagging when he was upset, Dr. H had a little conference with him and we haven't had a problem with it since. So I would rule out an organic cause before trying to correct a behavioral problem.
