Guest guest
, Delayed Gastric Emptying is when the stomach doesn't empty as fast as it should. It has nothing to do with constipation, or the number of BMs a child has each day, it's all about the amount of time it takes food/formula to pass through the pylorus sphincter and into the intestines. Because the food sits in the stomach longer, this can cause more reflux, and hence more gagging. Hope this helps!
