Guest guest
I have known I have hypoglycemia (diabetes precursor) for 40 years and have kept it from progressing with diet. SCD is much better for this in cutting out the grains (I gave up the sugars way back then). I really don't use honey much, I don't trust it, so just an occasional drop or two. I do use fruit, but if it's a snack I just try to be sensible and eat some nut butter or a slice of cheese with my apple half, something like that. I have a diabetic friend who is always using some special diabetic bread, etc, but I notice that bread is still WHITE bread. And she uses things like Splenda. I really think we have a much better diet. I do know also there are a number of diabetic diets. So yes, I think SCD is an excellent diet for you to use to avoid the family tendency to diabetes.
