Please do not feel sorry! We are willingly adopting E and knew from

the get-go that he would most likely encounter some obstacles;

however, his smile and laugh and his will to press on are all

rewarding to witness. The love in his eyes when he looks at us is

immeasurable! We are blessed!

E is actually our 8th preemie. We also have four children who were

term (I gave birth to 4 preemies, 1 deceased, and a term child). Our

eldest son turned 21 yesterday!

E also apparently has genetic factors involved. His birth parents

buried their first son at the age of 13 months. He was never given a

diagnosis; however, he presented with many of the same issues as E.

We have prayed that God will open the doors for E to be properly cared

for and that he might live a long and healthy life - as well as a

happily blessed one; however, we know this is not in our hands to

decide and treasure each day with each of our children.

He is indeed a beautiful person!
