Guest guest
Stevia isn't legal and neither is store-bought stock (unfortunately) unless you meant everything you made it with was organic. Guest guest
I was painfully lactose intolerant but I had no trouble tolerating the 24 hour yogurt. All of the lactose, or most of it, is consumed by the strains of bacteria used to ferment it. Are you sure about not being able to eat it? Did you introduce it a small amount at a time? I had to drip my yogurt to really tolerate it at first. Some people cannot digest the watery part of the yogurt. Carol CD 22 yrs SCD 5 yrs From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Tamra I should also add that besides not being able to eat honey and fruit because of oral thrush, I'm also lactose intolerant so I can't eat the yogurt. Guest guest
I would add in coconut oil. I would puree your soups for easier digestion. The intro chicken soup should be ok, even if you are reacting to eggs. When I make jello I use diluted fruit juice and gelatin only. I don’t think it needs any sweetener. Carol CD 22 yrs SCD 5 yrs From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Tamra I'm convinced it was the Old Bay Seasoning and will avoid it from now on. Today I ate 2 eggs over easy and that brought the pain back for a few hours. Then I had well-steamed zucchini pureed with organic vegetable stock and organic cultured butter, and that seems to be sitting well with me. Would it be okay to add a little coconut oil to the zucchini to add some extra calories? At this point since the eggs brought my pain level up, I'm hesitant to try the intro diet chicken soup. Would it help if I pureed the chicken? I have oral thrush and have a bad reaction to fruit and honey, and I tried making jello with stevia but it was awful! _,_._,___
Guest guest
Hi Tamra Are you the one who did the LDN trial. If you are good to see you over here. My dad was diagnosed with lactose intolerance by a biopsy and he has no problem with the yogurt. But if he goes near real milk. He certainly pays the price. Sky and her Dad To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Fri, 2 April, 2010 1:39:57 PMSubject: Re:Great one day, terrible the next! Hmmm, I haven't tried making the yogurt because I assumed I wouldn't be able to tolerate it since I can't tolerate milk, cheese or store bought yogurt, so I guess I should try it and see.Tamra in GilroyFMS, CFIDS, PI-IBS-dSCD - March 6th>> I was painfully lactose intolerant but I had no trouble tolerating the 24> hour yogurt.
