Guest guest
Rosie, My understanding is that Dr. Rabkin charges 12 thousand and 6.5% of what the insurance reimburses for. With an extremely experience surgeon, such as Rabkin and Jossart, the lap risks are minimal and are definately as effective as open. This is not the case with surgeons who are just learning the lap. The advantage of the lap is an easier and hopefully quicker healing time, reduced risks of infection and incisional hernia. You can find out more by checking out Dr Rabkins site: http://www.pacificsurgery.com/index.html or Dr. Jossart, who was Dr. Rabkins prior partner, and I believe the head of laprascopic surgery in the same hospital Dr. Rabkin practices in: http://www.lapsf.com/meetthedoctor.htm Both practices are very helpful in sending out packages if you are interested. Best of luck, Theresa > Hi all. > Anyone know what the self pay price is for a lap DS with Rabikin? > Also, is the lap as effective as the open surgery? > Anyone know what the risks for lap are? > Feedback is appreciated. > Rosie
