It sure was good to talk to you the other night. Hope you are not so stiff and sore still. Gosh Heidi is going to be so proud of you! You have been such a good nagger! You always add that perfect touch at the end of your post to let us know you really care.

Keep up the good work! Speaking of work...I know that is a bad word but when do the kids go back to school there? It has been so nice to see post from you this summer. You must have needed the rest!LOL

Dear Dawn, it's ok, you are allowed to be crabby and

whiney when you feel like that!! Sorry you have to go

on the higher dose of pred, but when I am feeling like

that I am SOOOOO grateful that we have it to take!!!

I sometimes think how awful it would be to cope with

rp without it!! At least it generally gives relief.

Even before I was dx I was taking pred because mine

always caused breathing problems. Talking of which

listen to your doc, if the breathing gets hard GO

directly to the er (do not pass go; do not collect

$200!!) In my experience if you are having a hard time

breathing they treat it quite quickly. Feel better

soon, you are in my prayers. Love Liz

Dawn, I'm glad that you are starting to feel better, but so sorry you are

going through all of this. Darn!! YOu just get better, you hear me. I don't

know how you made it to work. You should be resting. I hope you are when

as for my flare, I think its coming back, this morning can't raise my arm again, and now my ribs are starting to hurt AGAIN, My bp is up can't get it down.

Iwould not wish this stupid disease on a kid no way, I don't know how they can deal with it. take care and remember someone in WV love ya

Dawn, I have had a lot of tests on my kidneys. I'm not sure, but I think a

renal scan is like a CT scan and they will probably use dye. If this is the

one there is no pain. I did have one i will refuse to ever do again.... They

filled my bladder up with a cathater til it could hold no more...... made me

walk down to another room and then told me to stand next to the xray machine

( like a lund x ray) and then told me to pee. LOL WHAT... with 3 people in

the room and just let it run down my legs???? Well upon hearing that my

bladder shut down and said " NO Way " ... they did let me go into the bathroom

and relieve myself just a bit, then gave me a towel to put between my legs if

I felt " more comfortable " . LOL After i started, they yelled " STOP, now

hold it " . Well you get the picture..... It was called a voiding cystogram I

believe... Never again. LOL

sorry about getting off track, I'm sorry I don't know about your BP. I think

I would call another dr and get a second opinion just to be sure and if you

have ANY problems that don't seem right, get to the ER.

headache when it was that high. The blood pressure specialist said he didn't

worry about it to much till the bottom hit 150 to me that sounds way to close

to stroking out. So i wanted you all's opinion. then they up and told me Not

to take my BP meds becasue they want it high when the do the scan. The dr,

is aware of all of this.

I'm so sorry you had to get this. If you find something for the pain, let me

know. I'm using Pyridium and Vicodin for the spasms and pain.

The urologist today said he thought I had a yeast infection in my urthethra

and gave me 2 pills, (I'm sure you all know the name, but don't remember them

now... start with a D) LOL I am to take them both in the morning and he

feels I will be 100 % by Sunday. Gosh I hope he is soooo right. I am to

call him on Monday either way. Doesn't think it is the cystitis. That is

GREAT news.

Just rest and float with the fluids. I don't know what else to tell you.

I would take something for the pain until the antibiotics kick in which could

be 3 days. Call your dr today and get something for relief.

I'm going to go soak in a hot tub and take a short nap. A birthday nap. LOL

Haven't done that in a long time.

Rest Dawn and know I'm thinking of you. Wish I was there to recoup with you.

Dawn, gosh I hope you are feeling better today. The urologist I saw

yesterday didnt' think I had I. Cystitis. YIPPEE!! That was the good news.

He thought that because i have been on so many antibiotics that I have a

yeast infection that went into my urethra and bladder. So he gave me the 2

pills to take today for that and said I should be back to nomal by Monday.

I am to call him either way. He was a keeper. Sure wish he could give the

infection specialist a few pointers. LOL

I'm hoping I'm 100% by tomorrow or monday. So watch out. I will be back

full time. lOL

Dawn, well, i guess I did one or your tricks and jinxed myself. I had such a

great day yesterday and this morning I woke up with the same burning and pain

I have had for weeks. Maybe I'll just need another dose of the anti yeast

med. Geez... I don't know. Getting pretty old, this being sick thing. lOL

Dawn, I'm so happy to hear that. You just keep taking that medicine and it

will go away for good.

I put a call into the urologist this morning and am waiting to hear what to

do. I'm fine as long as I take the pain meds and the pyridium for the

spasms. But don't want to live this way and keep hiding whatever it is. I

hope to hear soon. Will keep you updated.
