Guest guest
Hi all... I posted awhile back conjecturing that maybe Chitosan could absorb some of the undigested fats that can be " problematic " for DS'ers. Well, indulging my curiosity with some web searching, I came across this: http://www.drumlib.com/dp/000023.htm The article is centered around arguing that Chitosan is effective relative to Xenical for non-digestion of fats, but has an interesting reference to a patent held by Hoffman-La Roche. Apparently the maker of Xenical has patented the idea of adding chitosan to formulations like Xenical, to " strongly reduce " the issues of unabsorbed fats in the digestive stream (i.e. " anal leakage " ). The article includes a link to the patent itself. Thought this might be of interest. --Randy
