Guest guest
Hi Holly, Here is an article on digestion that has really helped me. I used to have to take digestive enzymes with practically everything I ate. With the help of this article, I have learned how to let my own body’s digestive system deal with my food intake. All it takes is a little adjustment to when and how you eat your food. Good luck, GERDS and chronic C. SCD 2 yrs Re: Dinner digestion question I REALLY need to work on this as well. I consume at least 2/3 of my calories from 6 PM on. This used to work fine for me, but lately, I'm finding myself bloaty and excessively glurky come bedtime. My typical eating schedule is as follows: Breakfast (8:00 AM): 1 cup of yogurt with 1/2 tbsp. honey, cup of green tea Lunch (2:00 PM): Almond butter brownie, slice of cheese (or 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil), sometimes a serving of fruit, and 2 glasses of water Supper (6:00 PM): Meat, 1/3 cup each of 2 kinds of veggies with butter and salt, 1 tbsp of almond butter, 1/3 cup frozen yogurt, glass of water Snack (8:00 PM): 1 cup of Welch's grape juice (1/2 water, 1/2 juice) Snack (10:00 PM): 1 cup of yogurt with 1/2 tbsp honey, cup of green tea Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/08 1 of 1 File(s) Digestion.pdf

I hope you can have fruit at other times during the day. VERY small amounts. It's only been within the last couple of years that I could have fruit more than once a week. <grin> Sorry to keep harping on this, but I did want people to know that they're not abnormal because they can't handle fruit (or too much meat!) The joy of SCD -- it's so powerful because it is so flexible.
