Guest guest
That helps. I will go to the site and see what I can learn. I started out with a BMI of 52, I weighed 304. I now weigh 264. On my scales I thought I weighed 250 so the 264 was a real downer. When I listed for my surgeon what I had had for the day before, he thought I was eating too much. Here was my daily list that he said was too much Breakfast - 1/2 pancake, 1 slice bacon, 6 oz skim milk Lunch - 3 oz chicken, steamed zucchini Snack - 2 oz hamburger with melted cheese Dinner - 1 oz pork chop, 1/4 cup mac and cheese, approx 2 tbs. corn, 6 oz milk. To me that doesn't seem like too much. Am I wrong? Help! in KC Re: I am bummed out and need help. , You didn't say what or how much you're eating or what your starting bmi was, but if your starting bmi was relatively low , for example, 40 or 41, then you will not lose as fast as others. My starting bmi was 41 and I've lost 43 pounds in 9 weeks. I'm very happy with that. I eat approximately 800 - 1100 calories per day. I haven't started a regular exercise regimen yet--keep meaning to, but you know how it goes. I don't keep track of it every day because I don't want to be a slave to the calorie counting like I have my whole life, but if you want to find out exactly what and how much you're eating, there's a very nice website that will help you. It's at http://www.fitday.com. Just join the site as a member and you can keep track of what you eat. All the calories, protein, fat, carbs, food values are already calculated. It's really easy and helpful. You can also keep track of your weight loss on a chart, keep a journal if you want, and much more.

Guest guest
I am trying!!!!!!!!!!!!! to be patient, I mean. Thanks for the support. Yes, my goal is to lose 150 pounds (154 to be exact) Re: I am bummed out and need help. , Without knowing your starting BMI/ weight/ height, it impossible to evaluate your progress, though 4 lbs/week doesn't sound bad to me. This pattern of loosing a bunch the first few weeks and then really slowing down or even stopping weight loss is common. Much of what is happening is that you loose tons of water weight early on and then you start to re-gain the water weight as you re-hydrate. You sound like you are on a path to loose about 150 lbs total, but it is too ealry to tell. Remember it takes 12-18 months to loose the weight. Be patient! Guest guest
The plan was for my CC to be 100cm I think. I will check with the doc's office to find out for sure. I will try to get more protein in. Today, I have been noshing on peanut butter and crackers, along with ham and bean soup and milk and a protein bar for breakfast (15 g in the bar, tastes like a rice crispy treat). Let's see, I have also had some chedder cheese. Am I getting enough? I hope/think so. I don't want to " diet " . My weakness has been bread, potatoes and pasta. Guess I will stay away from those for awhile and see if I can jumpstart this body of mine. in KC Re: I am bummed out and need help. Sounds like you're eating just fine--yikes any less than that would mean " diet " to me--and why did we get this surgery? Not to diet, that's for sure. But it doesn't look like you're even getting enough protein. What was your CC legnth. I have been hearing everything from 50 to 125cm. Dr. B in Spain was giving everyone 75, but has recently decreased it to 65 which I have. I have heard people hike up the fats and protiens for awhile to get the metabolism going and the fat burning. Hang in there. Pammii ----------------------------------------------------------------------
