Guest guest
used to get a low grade fever with infractions. At first I thought it coincidence, and that it was something viral going on. After it happening several times, I realized the fever was related to the infractions. Hope this helps... Fever and Infractions Hi all! I saw no one answered this question, but I had the same one. I think my son had an infraction on Tuesday. Wednesday morning he had a fever and a horrid rash on his bottom. I'm not certain if it was coincidence and he just had a viral infection, but I wondered if it might not be related to the suspected infraction. We have been GFCF for about 5 weeks now. Speaking of infractions, can anyone tell me if the ingredient " maltodextrin " is a no-no? He is taking enzymes (Peptizyde), by the way, 2x a day with breakfast and lunch. We are on day 5 of using them. Cz. _________________________________________________________

Guest guest
I was the first one to ask about fever and infractions. I still am not sure why my son had a fever but he is OK now. I first noticed it late Tuesday night but by mid-morning he was cool again. He never got any other symptoms of sickness but last night he was more agressive, hyper and his diapers were stinky again. This all points to infraction to me. > Hi all! > > I saw no one answered this question, but I had the same one. I think my son > had an infraction on Tuesday. Guest guest
F - That sounds like my logic too. We can always tell when my son will be " coming out " of an infraction when he gets sick. I figured the same as you, his immune system was overwhelmed and some germy thing got to him. So - I am always worried about infractions now whenever my son gets a fever. I go over everything he has eaten looking for the possible hidden gluten. Most times I find it. Guest guest
Here is my thoughts and mind you this is my opinion only-I think that when gluten or casein are eaten in some kids in causes the immune system to be overloaded-it overreacts-so if the immune system is tied up so to speak with a infraction-it would make them wide open to coming down with a viral-it could also in theory cause a fever-as the immune response to fight invaders is fever-we see this with infractions with my son too-so this is how I reasoned it out in my own mind.f Fever and Infractions > Hi all! > > I saw no one answered this question, but I had the same one.
