Guest guest
I don't understand how stating your opinion is bashing someone. Did most of us lose our sense of humour, along with those pounds? Just because someone feels very strongly about something, or states their opinion forcefully, does not give them the POWER to make me feel bashed, unsupported, or pissy. After all, message boards are exactly that...a forum to discuss. This doesn't mean that either point of view is correct....it just means that opinions are like body orifices...everybody has one...or two or three! Laughing, Life is too short. We all learn from different points of view. If we choose not to accept an arguement...it's as easy as hitting the delete button! Personally, I like people to question my stands, because it forces me to be very clear on why i " feel " how I feel, and why I " think " the way I do. Often, those two are diametrically opposed...and it gets my arse back on track!
Guest guest
I am going to agree with you on this Theresa, this discussion has only re-enforced my belief on the DS. I now know that if the BPD had been the cure-all to morbid obesity that it would have never evolved into the DS. And thanks to this discussion my understanding of phsiology has become clearer. So I am with you sis Viva la difference!!!!!!!!!!! Lisbeth Theresa wrote: I don't understand how stating your opinion is bashing someone. Guest guest
, that might be the case with other surgeons.. but those lucky enough to have MY surgeon, DR. Warden know he IS perfect.. He makes no mistakes.. lol.. but seriously.. I think people get attached emotionally because here is a person who has literally saved their lives.. made them feel like a real person again, and saved them from horrible discrimination. Anyone who has made such changes, in such a short amount of time, and literally gives one their life back is at risk of being 'worshipped'. Who else in life does such wonderful things for us? Maybe all that is a serious case of 'florence nightengale syndrome'? Or, in my surgeon's case " fred nightengale syndrome' ?? lolol!! I wish this for all WLS patients.. ) Love, Sue. > > God, this whole thing makes my blood boil and to think > > that her patients take her side in all this and > > justify it! My surgeon isn't perfect, either. But he's still a good surgeon. I would recommend him to any preop who asked.. but I will also tell them... if they ASK... if he is on call & gets waked up just as he's finally fallen asleep.. he may be cranky. Real cranky. But he apologizes next time you see him, and he does take care of your troubles to the best of his ability. And his surgical scars heal (for me, anyway) really nicely without Mederma, scar-reduction film, or vitamin E oil.... Liane Who definitely knows her surgeon is human, but likes & respects him anyway.
