Tonight we went to Max's final acting class. They put on a play. The

class is for teens from grades 9-12. Max, as you know, is in grade

10. I am so happy to say that for the very first time, Max did not

stand out from the others. He was not the shortest. He did not look

sick. He did not slump over. He just looked like a regular teen

taking part in a fun acting class. (Although he is way too skinny!) I

enjoyed watching that part more than seeing him act! Oh, if those

other parents only knew what it took to get him there.... And it all

paid off!

Jodi- You must be sooo proud of Max! What a legacy and testament to leave to

all the parents that when they look at their small kids they have the

reassurance that things can turn out. Jodi, you and Max are an inspiration and

pillar of strength to all of us on the side lines wandering... what next??? In

great expectation of life's very best joys...

and everyone else who responded,

Thank you for your sharing in our excitement. I purposely post

things about Max to give you all hope and inspiration. If someone

was not going to respond to gh, believe me, it was Max. Dr. H. even

implied and said that to us when she announced that he was gh

resistant. Then, however, she said that " if anyone is going to get

him to grow, it will be ME! " She meant herself. We are so grateful

to her!

I don't see myself as a pillar of strength or inspiration, but I

know that many of you have told me that. I appreciate it so much.

It was especially nice to read today because it was a bad one for me

at school. The school budget did not pass, so I stand to lose my

job at the end of the year. All non-tenured teachers are in

danger. I'd like to think that my job is safe because I teach LLD

special ed, but until I have it in writing, I will not bank on it.

The sad part is that it lost by 15 votes. And making us wait until

the end of June to know for sure is pure torture.

Anyway, I don't want to gripe. I am happy to share and help all I

can. I want others to learn from us and to be inspired. That is

part of who I am.

Oh Jodi

I'm sure you know you had my vote!! I was also sad to

see the little difference between yes and no.

If you're not there next year when is there, I

will be so upset and too. I feel so

comfortable knowing you are two doors away.

By the way, I drove pass the school this morning to

try to catch you. When I went to vote, all the doors

were locked except for the gym of course. I can mail

the book to you so that you have it in time. Just let

me know.
