Guest guest
> > OT...but re:pesticides & childhood cancers...one of my hugest heartbreaks was when I found out that of my seven former co-workers in horticulture that had children SIX of us had children that got cancer :*( including one who lost 2 of her 3 kids to cancer!!! & even though my kids are twins ( same home environ/utero/food etc) they would not run any tests on my daughter to look for cancer when her brother got it!! I have since kept them on a meticulously healthy diet & we do anti cancer cleanes about every 8 months or so ( as money permits as I'm low income & it costs $300 each time) but in our house, cancer is the boogey-man in the closet --that we never find directly but constantly fear!! > > > Congress lobbying AGAINST legislation that would restrict pesticides, > > certain pesticides, or pesticides levels. It generates mountains of cash for the lobbyist's briefcases My family shares the cancer boogey-man I have few kinfolk left. It seems that no matter what you do the genes will eventually make their presence known. To improve the odds, this is what I use: Curcumin. The IARC, an agency of the World Health Organization (WHO), has published a report on the incidence of cancer in the USA and India. It attributes the much lower rates in India to their use of the spice turmeric in their curry dishes. Curcumin is the ingredient in turmeric that suppresses cancer. For instance, in cases per million persons, the incidence of breast cancer in India is 79, in the US 660. For lung cancer the ratio is 38 t0 660. For pancreas it's 8 to 108. For colon it's 30 t0 530. There is evidence that curcumin also suppresses Alzheimer's. Selenium and NATURAL vitamin E. In 1999 The American Pharmaceutical Association published a " Practical Guide to Natural Medicines " . In it they tell of research that showed that intake of 200 mcg/day of organic selenium reduced the incidence of many cancers by forty to sixty percent. The actual research results had been suppressed for years because the scientists feared retaliation from the FDA. Chinese studies show that low selenium intake results in higher rates of heart disease and hepatitis as well. Vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 is breaking new ground every week. In addition to its benefits in reducing arterial calcification and helping those with osteoporosis, it has been found to fight a variety of cancers. There are many other supplements that would help, but these are at the top of the list. Les
