Guest guest Posted May 5, 2010 Report Share Posted May 5, 2010 I am making sauerkraut juice. Today's the third day of fermenting and I notice it has a green sludge floating at the top. It looks quite gross. I added a couple of spoons of whey strained off from my yogurt when I started it. Of course, the recipe on pecanbread.com does not say to do that. That was my own bright idea since that is how I made my beet kvass last week and it is good. So is this ruined now?
