Calling ADD or Single Parents!

Hello everyone -

We are about to launch a new resource at MAGIC called " Special

Interest Groups. " These groups will cross all division boundaries --

meaning the coordinators will help families from any growth

disorder.

Each SIG will focus on a specific topic, and will have several

coordinators who will exchange emails (and sometimes phone calls)

with parents on that topic. The coordinators will have any expenses

relating to the networking covered. This is a new beginning for us,

so I am guessing it might be 30-60 minutes of volunteering a week?

Because it is volunteering, any coordinator can take time off for

vacations, etc. or ask us to add additional headcount if need be.

We're just winging it to start.

One SIG will be called " School Accomodations and Issues. " I believe

I have two coordinators and am crossing my fingers I can announce

them in a few days. Both are amazing women with TONS of experience

in the subject (and both are actually RSS parents).

Another SIG is going to be on " Attention Deficit Disorder " .

A third SIG is going to be on " Divorce and/or Single Parenting. "

We can actually add any other SIG.

So..... would any of you like to start off volunteering as a

Coordinator of either of these SIGS? (We can use 1, 2 or even 3

people per SIG.) Or do you have another topic that you might think

is important?

Like " Getting the Underweight Child to Gain Weight. "
