Try In-n-Out burger. Instead of getting a regular burger ask for a " Protein

burger " Instead of a bun it comes wrapped in a lettuce leaf. I thought it

sounded gross but it isn't bad. No sure about the sauce is GFCF but I am

sure some one here knows.

ds/autism/celiac), (7 ds/ADHD/Celiac), and Esther (4 ds). All adopted.

Caroline,

i know what you mean about cooking sooooo much. I am baking allllll

the time. I sure miss those teddy grahams! I think ppl have mentioned

Boston Market. Maybe call them. Could you make dbl batches of meals

on the weekend and freeze? Hang in there.

Mcdonalds is the only one I have found reasonably safe in a pinch. here are

my time managment tips as I work full time plus too. First it sounds like

your hubbys diet could easily go gfcf-I am not sure about yours but it is

soooo much easier if the whole house eats the same. Second I pick a day that

I am off-cook all day and freeze-then I can just pull it out re heat and

serve in a pinch. If you can afford it www.kinnikinnick.com has a whole lot

of pre made foods gfcf. And there is a woman named kristen on this group

starting a gfcf mail order bakery-I can look up he email if you are

interested. This is the toughest part-managing time-but it does get

easier.LisAf

In and Out has safe french fries, but the burger patties are cooked

on the same grill where they toast the buns... so they are a no-go.

We used to get Kenny chicken. Our local one didn't use any

spices or seasoning on theirs... unfortunately, the place burned down

recently.... :(

I don't know about El Pollo Loco, but it may be worth talking to the

manager.

Hope that helps...

We always get just the hamburger patty for my son - he loves it.

You have to make sure they give it to you before they slap it on a

bun... I make sure to look directly in the eyes of the person behind

the counter and say " I have a special request and it is very

important that you get this right. " I pause to make sure they are

paying attention, and then I continue " My boy is very, very allergic

to bread, so I want just a hamburger patty and nothing else. Just the

meat. "

Our local Mc's knows us now...

Also - their bacon is safe and so are the hash browns. The bacon has

nitrates - but, we do give it to him on those occassions that we are

stuck...

Hope that helps.

Like Moira, we just get the hamburger patty, plain, no bun. Some places

call it " meat in a box. " I ask for a fork too.

We've got the Happy Meal (or Mighty Kids Meal) order down:

2 hamburger patties, plain, no bun

fries

Minute Maid Orange juice--not orange soda, but 100% orange juice

hth--
