We were successfully able to get Max to eat and wean him off the g-

tube feedings really without a problem. It was a great work in

progress and took years, but it did work. He really did not have a

choice, though. If he was not on the pump at night, he would wake

up in the morning with ketones and get sick. He was on those

nighttime feedings for a very long time just to control that issue

alone.

If Colin is eating during the day, not spilling ketones and seems

happy and healthy, then I would just keep on doing what you are

doing. Feed him via pump at night and let the oral intake

gradually increase. And it will.

I would not do a thing until you see Dr. H. But you already know

what she will say.
