Guest guest
Hi , What is an icing press? and where did you get it? I will add to that list a slipmat. I read about it in ' new book. It is a reusable rubber mat that keeps cookies and anything else from sticking to any pans. Expensive $20 at Bed, Bath & Beyond, but cheaper to me now that I don't through away as many burned and broken cookies from sticking!... > Some one wanted Ideas for christams so I thought I might list my favorites. > > Kitchen aide stand mixer > cookie press > bakers secret bake ware > My measuring spoon{all one piece-you just slide it to the correct measurment} > Icing press > cuisanrt blender > coffee grinder{grain mill is better but I dont have one yet} > This is not a appliance but I love bette hagman cook books. > > >
Guest guest
, It's called Sil-Pat, they are kind of expensive (about $20 each), but definitely worth it. A lot of the houseware stores carry it. I know you can find it on www.marthastewart.com and also the kitchen store at www.amazon.com carries it. Sometimes the on-line stores will advertise free shipping on certain items, and you generally don't pay tax, that's why I purchased mine at amazon. Guest guest
Hi , Now I know what you mean! I just ordered one from a Pampered Chef party. I was hoping it would work on squeezing out the Miss Robens pretzel mix too. The slip mats are great. They just sit on any cookie sheet and it keeps the cookie sheet clean and the cookies just slide right off. When you are done you just rinse off the mat till next time. They are also good for rolling out dough. If you have the new book she writes about them on page 230. I'm not a good cook so I need all the help I can get!! I'm ALWAYS serching for the right size. Where can you find these and do they have measuring cups too!? I love this also! I'm so new at this and this listing of favorite products and X-mas ideas are very helpful. My husband is about to kill me though! Ha! Guest guest
Hello and , It just so happens I have a Pamered Chef catalog here and they have both the adjustable measuring spoons and also the adjustable measuring cups you guys are talking about. If you know someone who sells the stuff you can get it there. I think someone on this list mentioned they sell this stuff. Good Luck... > > > Some one wanted Ideas for christams so I thought I might list my > > favorites. > > > > > > Kitchen aide stand mixer > > > cookie press > > > bakers secret bake ware > > > My measuring spoon{all one piece-you just slide it to the correct > > measurment} > > These sound interesting! Guest guest
, Pampered Chef has a tsp all in one and a tbs all in one. It also has a solid measuring cup and you turn it over and measure liquids (there is an insert). Plus it has measuring cups all in one. I love PC and couldn't cook w/o 1/2 the stuff I have. I am now going to buy their cookie press. Everything is guaranteed. Guest guest
My new favorite item is an " Oil Mister " that I found at the check out counter at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. You just fill it half full with an oil for your choice, pump, and spray your pans. Whatever it cost me it was well worth it! I no longer have to buy those expensive spray cans with additives. Guest guest
My favorite kitchen equipment includes... BIG: KitchenAid, electric ice cream maker, Cuisinart LITTLE: ice cream-type food scoop from restaurant supply store (movable metal piece knocks sticky dough out into nice round shapes), hamburger bun pan from King Arthur's Flour (makes nice little cakes, too), old heavy Bundt cake pans (from 20-30 years ago, check garage sales)
