Guest guest
Eileen, How do you feel on dccc? I think if you are doing better, keep it in just be moderate and limit the amount you eat. Deprivation is never good. Guest guest
I have a question about yeast/Candida: How do you know you have a problem -- is it oral thrush or external fungal infections? If it is intestinal, how do you know it is Candida? Is the conclusion by elimination -- all the bacteria are dead, so it has to be Candida?? Guest guest
My experience: I did tremendously well on SCD a few years back, then got off the diet when I felt well enough -- bascially, I wasn't mature/disciplined enough when I went away to school and strayed so much I regressed into a flare.A couple months ago I discovered my tongue was whiter than usual and even when I went back on SCD, I found out foods I used to tolerate weren't sitting well, including honey, some fruits and sweeter veggies. I did some research and found the SCD candida diet on the pecanbread website so I gave it a shot, added in some S. Boulardii and a week later I feel better than I ever have in the past 3 months.Bottom line, through process of elimination and a food diary (I keep track of everything here, including BM's, which have all improved this past week already) I was able to pinpoint a candida problem and deal with it. It's not easy, but it's already been worth it. __________________________________________________________________ CD SCD 5 months Lialda, Purinethol Freeda Vitamins, L.
