I do have a juicer though so could i just juice my own grapes and other fruits or is it too soon? Thanks Mark

I need to get my juicer ready to go.... — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
i'd juice my own grapes if I were you, and that would actually be better than the welches 100% juice, because that is from concentrate and the juice you will be making will be fresh. Still dilute it at least 50/50 with water though.I would not go with just water, because of the very limited menu on intro, your body will need the extra carbs/nutrients from the fruit juice. What about apple cider?? Don't they have that in your country?-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 8 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 12 pills a day Prednisone 40mg entocort With vit E mixed inBack to intro/stage 1 for now.To: BTVC-SCD From: markscd26@...Date: Tue, 13 Apr 2010 23:09:17 +0000Subject: Grape Juice Hi, Welch's grape juice 100% is not available in my country so ive been living on just water on the intro. Is it diluting it that makes it ok? Fruits are allowed. Some fruits are easier for most people to tolerate at different points in the diet. Many people go overboard with fruit in the early stages of the diet, mainly because they're missing their sugars and carbs, so it's better to restrict them somewhat. By diluting the juice, you reduce the amount of a sugar hit each time you have some. For some people, 50% dilution isn't weak enough. (I remember one point at which I was having trouble with my OJ, and was diluting about two ounces of juice in 16 ounces of water.) — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
I dunno, but I think it's the removal of the more complicatedly structured carbohydrates (fibrous stuff).could also be that the process of juicing, juice experts and raw foodests like to say, makes getting the nutrients from the cells easier. hence, i would imagine that helps digestion. best, lauraOn Tue, Apr 13, 2010 at 9:47 PM, Wizop Marilyn L. Guest guest
Also, when you juice something, you aren't getting the fiber/flesh which could also contribute to problems early in the diet.AmeliaTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Wed, April 14, 2010 2:47:51 AMSubject: Re: Re: Grape Juice At 08:14 PM 4/13/2010, you wrote: Question about juicing.
