Guest guest
Hi, Yes it is that amount because the higher amount cause higher chances of Coby to be a insulin resistance if he were to become a diabetic which is one thing Rss kids have to be very careful of because they are at greater risk for being a diabetic. the higher the dose of GH the greater the chances of starting at much higher then normal insulin levels. So as long as he is growing and increasing dont change Amy le wrote: Coby went to the endo this week. He has been on GH now for 5 1/2 months. He is 2.4 yrs old now. He weighs 22.1 lbs and is 33.35 in long. That is an INCREASE of 1.2 lbs and 4.2 inches since starting GH!!!!!! I am thrilled. He is at the 5th % tile now for his height and still way under on his weight. Dr. H prescribed the dose of GH that he should receive at the convention. The endo mentioned that the dose she prescribed is only 2/3 of the allowed amount. My question is if anyone knows why Dr. H prescribes the amount that she does? Thanks, le, mom to: Shye 10, Brock 8, and Coby (rss) & Carlee 2 yr old twin terrors!
Guest guest
hey danielle!!! that is such great news!!! go coby!!!! dr h said to use when she prescribed christopher's gh that she starts at a lower dose and will increase when needed so that he grows a the right rate. maybe you need to contast her and see if coby's gh needs to be upped or stay where it is for now. good luck!! jodie c ps i like the " twin terrors " mention after the kids names!! christopher and johnathon arent twins but it some days it feels like they are and they definitely fit into the terror catagory!!!!LOL!!!!
