OK, then, yes, if you've been doing dairy free, you will want the

GIProstart yogurt starter, because it does not have cow dairy in

it.

If you are super worried about dairy, what about nutmilk yogurt?

Um, I'm down for nutmilk, but then don't I have to make it myself? Homemade nutmilk is so unbelievably out of my league right now!!Thanks Marilyn.Seriously though, can someone give me a tip on what the right thing is to buy to make yogurt if I don't have an oven light, or what the options are?

Thanks!!On Sun, Apr 11, 2010 at 3:16 AM, Wizop Marilyn L. Alm wrote:

Yes, you have to make your own nut milk, then make your own yogurt from

the nut milk.

NO commercial yogurt is SCD legal, except as a starter.

Many people buy a dimmer switch to keep the temp lower.

, you just leave it plugged in for the 24 hours instead of 4.5. Some

people find the newer models of yogurmet to heat up to 120 as it continues to

heat and they just purchase a dimmer switch to control the temperature. Katy

The Yogourmet makes ordinary yogurt in 4.5 hours.

It doesn't have a temperature gauge.

I have two Yogourmets and make 24 hour yogurt all the time. Some people

find that they need a dimmer switch. I don't.

Thank you, I tend to forget that a dimmer switch could be used with a

yoghurt maker. I think we have one around here somewhere, even.
