Any one have kids with upper palate causing gapped front teeth?

Hi. Autumn went to her Geneticist today and he noticed her upper

palate, the center going from back of palate to middle of front teeth

is too big and therefore her teeth cannot touch becuase she has a ridge

of gums between her two upper teeth. Does anyone elses kids have

this? Just wondering if it is an RSS type thing, because no one else

in our family has it! He said it's easy to fix, a cosmetic type

surgery thing where it is cut away at the dentist (when older). I had

just never heard of it.
